Sandy serves as Vice President, Social Impact – North America for the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. He is responsible for developing and implementing the Center’s strategy and programs across North America. Throughout his career, Sandy has been unwavering in his commitment to being a purpose-driven leader in both the private and nonprofit sectors. His work focuses on delivering innovative solutions, strategies, and research that informs policy and insights on economic mobility for low-income communities and people of color.
At the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, the company’s philanthropic hub, Sandy advances priorities to increase financial inclusion, foster a more inclusive economy, and support worker mobility. He is leading the organization’s efforts to digitalize community financial institutions and supports the company’s efforts to address the racial wealth and opportunity gaps through programmatic work and impact investments in support of Black communities.
Before joining Mastercard, Sandy held senior roles at Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase & Co. He led coalition efforts with civil rights, policy, and advocacy groups on asset building and financial capability, capacity building, diversity, and inclusion. He began his career in the health field, conducting outreach, research, and educating low-income immigrant communities on diabetes and cardiovascular health.
Sandy is a U.S. Eisenhower Fellow and most recently served on the boards of Grounded Solutions Network, and Sandy holds an M.P.A. from New York University and a B.A. from Boston University.
