Sandra Victorino is the Director of Acute Care Services at The Providence Center, a community mental health center, and Co-founder of the Latino Mental Health Network. She has worked in the mental health field for 15 years. Her areas of interest in health care are access for minority populations, health and mental health equity, and culturally and linguistically appropriate health services. In addition, her community work focuses on building leadership capabilities, diversity and inclusion, and developing and strengthening partnerships in our communities.
Sandra earned a Masters in Counseling at The University of Mary Hardin Baylor, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Rhode Island College. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Rhode Island. She is the Vice President of Recycle-A-Bike, a nonprofit bicycle organization, and a board member of the Women’s Fund of RI. She is on the behavioral health advisory board at Clinica Esperanza, a free clinic for the uninsured, and on the advisory board at LunaYou, a woman-centered maternal wellbeing program.
When she is not involved with her work and boards, she enjoys powerlifting, drawing trees, experiencing live music and spending time with her family and friends.
