Pam Hyland has 43 years of progressive management experience in the Girl Scoutsallowing her to harness a multitude of leadership skills including strategic planning, human relations, coalition building, multi-faceted team building and complex problem solving.
She is most proud of five initiatives – her current work in becoming a Gallup Strengths-based organization; the creation of a very successful Camp CEO program; an Image Campaign that featured 16 prominent women with thetagline “believe in a girl – Be a Woman Who Supports Girl Scouts”; the adoption of the nationallyrecognized and widely lauded Carver Policy Governance Model that enables strategic leadership bygovernance boards and maximizes staff productivity and performance; and the involvement of Girl Scouts inthe Kepner-Tregoe decision-analysis process that resulted in girls determining the issues around whichtheir annual community action projects were planned and implemented.
Pam is a current member of the Rhode Island Chapter of Women in Leadership Nexus. She has previously served as an American Heart Association Circle of Red Member in upstate New York and in Rhode Island, and as a member of the Women’s President Organization (WPO) in Syracuse, NY and Providence, RI.
