Nishita possesses 15+ years of leadership experience working in high impact leadership roles in the tech and non-profit sectors. Nishita recently left her thriving corporate career and took the leap to fully pursue her entrepreneurial passions. She is currently Founder and CEO of two quickly growing ventures: WorldRoo – an ed-tech start-up focused on empowering children to build key early learning skills, including STEM, and develop an appreciation for diversity and global cultures and Tribe Academy – a company focused on training, coaching and connecting motivated, diverse talent with leading corporations, including Fidelity, CyberArk and Nike.
During her 10-year corporate career at Fortune 50 company Dell Technologies, she led strategic, global programs and initiatives focused on marketing, employee engagement, innovation, diversity and talent development. She personally influenced hiring of 60+ diverse individuals at Dell, had direct management for 40+ global team members as Director of the Services Leadership Development Program and successfully coached multiple individuals to negotiate major salary increases, project opportunities and promotions. Nishita’s unique ability to combine stories and data allowed the company to win multiple industry awards for their customer experience leadership.
Nishita is an experienced speaker and facilitator and has presented in front of thousands of people around the world in corporate, university and non-profit settings. She is proud of her accomplishment to deliver a TEDx talk titled, “Channel Your Kids Courage”.
Nishita has been recognized for her business, diversity, community and brand leadership. She is a Rhode Island PBN 40 Under 40 Winner (2021), Rhode Island PBN Woman to Watch in Tech Winner (2022), ATHENA Leadership Award® Winner (2018) and Top Social Media Voice at Dell Technologies (2021). She has 7K+ social media followers and has been featured by LinkedIn multiple times for her inspiring and engaging content. She has recently been selected to join RIHub’s prestigious Venture Mentor Services Program, which provides strategic business guidance for high-potential Rhode Island entrepreneurs.
Nishita grew up and attended public school in South Kingstown, RI. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Texas A&M University. Nishita currently lives in Rhode Island with her partner and two young children.
