Kate is an accomplished employee benefits consultant with a track record of partnering with employers to control health care costs and to deploy strategic solutions that lead to improved
employee wellbeing and engagement. In her current position as Senior Vice President with USI’s Employee Benefits team in Rhode Island, Kate brings 22 years of experience in the employee
benefits and HR consulting industry. She currently consults with middle-market clients spanning various industries, including technology, healthcare, financial services, and food &
beverage manufacturing.
Prior to joining USI, Kennedy was the Vice President of Client Management at Provant Health, a leading national provider of corporate wellness programs. Previously, she was a Client Manager
and business development strategist at Mercer specializing in HR benefits strategy and outsourced administration, compensation, investment consulting, employee engagement, and
talent management.
Kate earned her bachelor’s degree in English at Providence College and her master’s degree in English at the University of Delaware. Kate serves on the Board of the Rhode Island Business
Group on Health and the Providence President’s Council and the Providentia Leadership Committee, both for Providence College. She served as the President of the National Alumni
Association Council for Providence College from 2019-2021. Kate is also a member of The Boston Club (the oldest and largest executive women’s group in the region), the Rhode Island
Commodores, and Rhode Island SHRM, and she is an active and engaged alumna of Leadership Rhode Island.
