Jenny Bautista-Ravreby joined Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) in 2020 as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) manager. She carries nearly a decade of experience working in the non-profit sector, playing key roles in fundraising, programming, recruiting and community partnership building, all through a DEI lens.
In her role as DEI manager, Bautista-Ravreby provides leadership and consultation throughout the company to implement the corporate DEI strategy, manages DEI programs for employees including Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) and the Diversity Council, and advances the organization’s performance as an employer in an increasingly culturally diverse marketplace.
Bautista-Ravreby joined BCBSRI from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts, where she led the agency’s DEI efforts for six years, creating and implementing trainings, facilitating workshops and building safe spaces for employees to learn and brainstorm with colleagues on how to improve as individuals and serve communities in a more equitable and inclusive way. She was also a community ambassador for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley where she connected employees to volunteer opportunities, increasing the company’s community impact and employee engagement goals.
Bautista-Ravreby received a bachelor’s degree in management with a focus in marketing from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is of Afro-Dominican descent, having immigrated from the Dominican Republic at an early age, and grew up in Massachusetts. She lives with her husband in Pawtucket.
