Dr. Nanci Argueta is a licensed clinical psychologist currently working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles as well as in her own private practice in Beverly Hills, California. She earned her doctoral degree at the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and completed research in the Laboratory of Multicultural Processes and Mental Health. She completed her postdoctoral training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where she refined her delivery of cognitive behavioral interventions to, diverse and underserved populations. At the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, she has provided psychology services in residential treatment, homeless primary care, and most recently in trauma specialty services for military-related trauma. She also provides clinical training to doctoral candidates completing their training while on predoctoral internship. Her clinical interests are in diversity issues as well as in the provision of evidence-based practices for treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, and anxiety and depressive disorders.
