Charlene Bert is an Emmy and Murrow Award-winning journalist; she is the Manager of Communications, Community Relations & Integrated Media for the Boston stations of NBC, including NBC10 Boston, NECN, NBC Sports Boston and Telemundo Boston.
Charlene oversees day-to-day community endeavors, enacting the stations’ engrained DEI mission. She proudly helps to steward media partnerships with such organizations as Embrace Boston, the nonprofit that brought the world the Embrace monument honoring Dr. Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King, as well as Boston Pride for the People, in charge of the Pride Parade that attracts a million people to the streets of Boston for a Saturday each June.

Her digital roots run deep. She co-founded a popular online magazine for women called GalTime.com that ran from 2009-2019, which offered content across the women’s content space and boasted clients such as Colgate and Maybelline. GalTime also became a syndicated television segment in several
markets across the country.
She volunteers for Minds Matter Boston, a nonprofit that empowers underserved youth with the resources to go to college.
She lives in North Providence and is a proud mom of two grown children.
