“Rosanna M. Ortiz is the President and founder of RMO PR, a project resource and public relations firm and creator of Rhode Island fashion week, STYLEWEEK Northeast.
Rosanna Ortiz grew up in Southern California and went to college in Boston, MA where she studied Advertising and Public Relations. Rosanna started her professional career when she became the Founder and Creative Director for a small firm in the in Washington D.C. market. Rosanna moved to the Boston area where she became a women’s footwear representative for Via Spiga and Franco Sarto. Rosanna was also writing for Boston publications, which led her to covering regional fashion weeks.
STYLEWEEK has become the premier regional fashion week for local and national fashion designers in the U.S. and beyond. Rosanna uses all of her skills as a public relations executive and networker to make STYLEWEEK Northeast an internationally recognized fashion event which has been featured twice in Forbes Magazine. In the summer of 2017 Rosanna and her STYLEWEEK team worked with The Newport Preservation Society to stage a benefit Pierre Cardin fashion show at the Breakers in Newport for Monsieur Cardin himself.
In 2016 Rosanna started RMO PR, which excels in messaging, communications project management, branding and press exposure for a large range of clients in various industries. In 2017, Rosanna launched the construction sector specializing in owner representation liaison with local, state and federal agencies and community. She has worked on special projects from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In 2020 Rosanna created, “Mask Up RI” social media initiative with the State of Rhode Island to promote the importance of face coverings during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, she has been named “Eleven to Watch” by the Providence Journal and was included in “40 under 40″ in the Providence Business News.”
