Annisha Vasquez is a Providence native and a Rhode Island College graduate with a degree in political science and public administration and a minor certificate in international nongovernmental organizational studies. She started her career in the public sector at the age of 21. Annisha is currently the Recovery Communications and Engagement Manager in the Office of Mayor Brett P. Smiley at the City of Providence. Prior to her current job she served as the Deputy Director of Communications for Mayor Jorge O. Elorza at the City of Providence. She has also worked on gubernatorial campaigns in the State of Rhode Island. She wishes to continue her passion for serving the public, advocating for social justice reform, and supporting women’s rights in the upcoming years.
