Renee DuChainey-Farkes, M.Ed., is a an educator, currently the Head of School at The Woodward
School for Girls, Grades 6-12, in Boston, Massachusetts. With more than thirty years of school
leadership, Renee is a dedicated advocate for, and driver of, excellence in the educational experience of
students and parents. Renee is passionate about students and their learning, the development of teachers,
and partnerships with parents and the family to achieve the best outcome and experience. At Woodward,
Renee’s mission is to educate and empower girls to learn and grow so that they may be our future leaders.
She is committed to three core principles: Knowing every girl and her story, partnership with families
and successfully navigating and supporting the developmental stages of girls during their very formative
years of 11-16 years to prepare them for life. Renee regularly speaks on these principles at a variety of
national and local conferences including The National Coalition for Girls Schools.
