Evadali Rocha is a dedicated community advocate, trusted friend, and proud Cabo Verdiana whose work reflects her deep passion for service, justice, and unity. Born in Boa Vista, Cabo Verde, she immigrated to Central Falls, Rhode Island at the age of nine—a city that helped shape her unwavering commitment to community uplift and cultural connection.
As a mother of three, ranging from toddler to young adult, Evadali balances the beauty and chaos of motherhood with a steadfast commitment to personal and professional growth. Her career began with 15 years in restaurant management at Jan Companies, followed by six years as a Training Coordinator in the Human Resources department at Roger Williams Medical Center. During a major hospital merger, she made the bold decision to step away and focus on her education and young son—ultimately earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Cyber and Law Security from Johnson & Wales University.
Today, Evadali serves as an interpreter for the Rhode Island Judiciary, helping individuals—especially those from the Cape Verdean community—navigate complex legal systems with clarity and dignity. She has also proudly worked at Bally’s Casino for over a decade, supporting fellow Cape Verdean staff with language translation and on-the-job training.
In December 2024, she completed her certification in Medical Interpretation through UMass Chan Medical School, with the goal of expanding her service into healthcare settings where her cultural insight and communication skills can make the greatest impact.
Evadali also serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for the RISE Women’s Leadership Conference, where she leads with grace and excellence. What began as a volunteer role quickly blossomed into a leadership position thanks to her magnetic energy, organizational talent, and natural ability to inspire others. Under her guidance, the volunteer team has been repeatedly praised for their professionalism and cohesion.
Currently the Board Secretary of Voices Unchained Inc., Evadali plays a vital role in advancing the mission to support survivors and young mothers. Also serving as a volunteer with Project Health CV Inc. focused on support systems to improve overall health outcomes to the Cabo Verdean community. She leads with compassion, always grounded in the belief that “together, we achieve more.” Whether mentoring others, interpreting for those in need, or creating space for community healing, Evadali brings heart, strength, and purpose to everything she touches.
