Born and raised in Kuwait, moved to Jordan during the gulf war, then finally settled with her family in Rhode Island (RI). She is of Palestinian origin and is truly proud of the mix of culture and values that has shaped her personal views. She comes from a family that is highly educated and values education. She graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Justice Studies. Her favorite memory was walking across the stage to receive her diploma, while her children ages 5 and 6, watched her. She is married to a great and supportive husband and will be celebrating her 20th anniversary this year. Her biggest achievement is her three wonderful children, Farah, Abdallah and Jude. She has instilled in them pride in who they are as Palestinian Muslims with American values; they make a very special combination. Her goal is to be able to help and educate people on social injustices that many minorities in America face. She has been part of many different groups including, Justice For Palestine, Women on The Move, NAACP.
Growing up in a household with a mother and father that has always taught her how to be a strong independent woman she has learned to advocate and teach young women, including her own daughters, to live out her dreams and live to their full potential. Mental health as well as healthy communication is something she holds close to her heart and preaches to all people close to her.
Reem Said has strong values and believes that one should do anything in their power to make a difference the world. She will move mountains to make positive change in the world. Having strong values and being optimistic about making difference in the world her key to being a good person.
Currently, Reem is considering and pursuing a Master’s in Education. Previously, she was a Private Client Banker at JP Morgan Chase where she built relationships with her clients and helped them achieve their financial goals.
