Owner & Founder, Human Writes Consulting
Ashley Rappa Bio
A seasoned writer, marketer, and communicator, Ashley has spent the past 17 years using her love of the written word to promote and pump up the missions and accomplishments of others—a wide variety of companies, organizations, and people across industries and oceans. She believes in the Oxford comma, the power of the written word in all its forms, that examples belong in sentences and not bullet points, and most of all, that successful stories are built on a foundation of truth, humor, and connection.
After beginning her career in Boston as a reporter, she moved to Rhode Island, where she worked for flagship organizations like Lifespan, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, and Plan International USA, before starting at Lincoln in 2016. Ashley is the founder and owner of Human Writes Consulting, which helps to craft words that work for individuals and organizations, specializing in content and copy, profiles and biographies, and scripts and fiction. In 2019, she graduated from the Leadership Rhode Island Omicron II Class, commonly known as the best class ever.
At home, Ashley is the happy wife of a Middle School teacher, and the proud mom to a five-year-old boy, a walking masterclass in kinetic energy. In her heart, she is a New Hampshire native, a Rhode Islander by choice, and a world traveler in the making. At her best, she believes in the untapped power of girls and women, and the raw and deep beauty of human connection. At her worst, she still believes that, but likely needs more coffee.
