Morning Breakout Sessions

Health & Wellness: Protecting Your Mental Health:

More than 1 in 5 women in the United States experienced a mental health condition, such as depression or anxiety, in the past year. And those women who are not suffering from a specific mental health challenge are generally bearing the weight of “the mental load” – the total sum of responsibilities that you take on to manage the simple “remembering of things.” Learn about some of the ways in which we can lessen, and ideally equalize, the load.

Money On Your Mind? Financial Empowerment for today’s women:

Building wealth, financial empowerment and your legacy! Women have never felt more empowered than we do today- so why is it still so hard to talk about money? Financial literacy and wealth are not tools that belong only to men- they can, and should, be wielded by strong women, too. Join this inspiring group to discuss strategies to achieve financial empowerment and manage and grow your assets.

Entrepreneurship:

Be a doer not a dreamer. Are you a multi talented individual with a side hustle and a natural talent to be an entrepreneur? Follow your dreams into reality by learning from a group of dynamic women who have created a platform and career by activating their passion, and creating a community of doers! Hear how they found a way to maximize their time and skills to create a gig of their own and generate more income. You’ll walk away energized to set aside time, resources, and determined to identify your sellable skill.

Business Leadership Wisdom From The Front-lines:

Being a leader on the front-lines of today’s workplace environment comes with many obstacles and requires unwavering grit. Leading successfully requires perseverance as one navigates through inevitable pitfalls, uncertainty, and sometimes covert inequity. Learn what it means to lead from the front of the room while building allies amongst your superiors and counterparts- all while gaining traction and results.

Lift up & Uplift: How to support and be supported by the women around you!

Together We R.I.S.E. Shelley Zalis said it best: “I always say a woman alone has power; collectively we have impact. Traditionally we have been taught to be competitive with one another, because there was such a scarcity of jobs at the top. It’s so clear that strategy doesn’t work. The truth is that raising each other up and channeling the power of collaboration is truly how we’ll change the equation—and have a lot more fun along the way.” Join this group of energized women to learn the best ways to support, and accept support from, the women around you.

Diversity And Inclusion In The Workplace:

The Power Of Talk- Closing The Diversity Gap…DON’T JUST CHECK THE BOX. In 2019, Forbes reported that businesses who have implemented more diversity practices in the workplace are seeing better financial performance. In fact, for every 10% increase in ethnic diversity on the senior executive team, earnings before interest and taxes increased by almost 1%. It has never been more important for companies to prioritize genuine investment in their company’s diversity and inclusion practices, programming and commitment. Join this session to hear about some strategies, programs, and ways you can help bring more diversity into your workplace.

Pay Equity For Women: Past, present, and future:

THE WORK IS NOT DONE! 80 cents can’t even buy you a McDonald’s cheeseburger… but $1 can. Women across the country are earning 80 cents for every white man’s dollar – and while we may not all be craving a fast food cheeseburger, that delta is important. The modern workforce is built upon practices that codify both the gender and racial wage gap. Slow progress has been made but there is an increasingly urgent call for more- more changes in hiring practices, more transparency in the workplace, more protections and advocacy for women and minorities in working families. Learn the facts, and take away tools to help you start discussions, raise awareness and advocate for change.

Testimonials

As a mom of two who works full time and runs a business, I am extremely selective of how I invest my time and energy. This full day conference exceeded my expectations. The organizers paid attention to every detail and attracted attendees who I fully enjoyed meeting and spending the day with. The speakers were credible, relatable, and informative. This is an event not to miss! Well done.
